Examples of Previous Grants

In addition to awarding monies for scholarships and post-graduate fellowships at medical schools in the Philadelphia region, the Foundation has also supported:

  • Scholarships at pre-med program at Bryn Mawr College.
  • Scholarships at medical schools in this region for M.D. / Ph.D. programs.
  • Support for younger faculty pursuing careers in “medical education.”
  • Endowment of Professorships for tenured faculty in various academic Departments.
  • Simulation Centers in Departments of Surgery.
  • An “Ultrasound” teaching laboratory.
  • Initiatives in programming to improve “medical education.”
  • Support for a program to improve the delivery and quality of medical care.
  • Support for a “bridge funding” proposal to increase the opportunity for junior faculty members to continue careers in medical education.

Typically, programs or projects are of one to three years duration and are not renewable.
